Junto al mismo, algunos temas clásicos para el uso diegético en la película y temas ambientales variados, entre los que se encuentran algunos hebreos, también muy hermosos. Musicalmente es elegante y también refinada, pero en el filme le falta solidez en su estructura y no contribuye a desperezar al resto de la película de un cierto letargo y lentitud. Su dispersión de temas desfocaliza narrativa y dramáticamente y todo acaba por ser más estético y ambiental que dramático y narrativo.

The story revolves around the sudden disappearance, on the day of his virtuoso concert, of the prodigy. Only near the end of the film do we discover why.
The film brilliantly deals with multiple layers and flashbacks, with perfect pacing and quite outstanding acting. The musical score is phenomenal.
This is a film about tragedy and loss, about how trauma lives on. It perfectly weaves the themes of ethnicity and religion.
It's a superb, haunting, film which I have not done justice here. In part that's because I don't want to do a review with spoilers. You have to go and see this film and allow your soul to be transported by the wonderful cinematography, script and musical score.
They don't make films as beautiful and brilliant as this very often. Go see it.

Un halo humanista que no abandona la narración en ningún momento y que, desgraciadamente, en líneas generales no logra emocionar ni conmover demasiado, aunque se vea todo con el máximo respeto. Un film muy digno en todas sus propuestas, entretenido en todo momento, donde fondo y forma se alían hasta conseguir una cinta amena, con intriga y cierto misterio, hasta desembocar en una historia triste y dolorosa, pero necesaria de contar. Curiosa, sobre todo para los neófitos en la cultura judía, no deja de ser sorprendente en su tercio final. It is books like this one by Kristin Harmel, who I now love, that bring out my ultimate passion for submerging myself in a story. I opened this book and I might as well have found a buried treasure. I found so many intricate details and stories within the story that I did not expect from my first glance. The words are so fluid and it almost makes me feel like writing something extraordinary myself... I just knew Im going to love this book. Maybe thats why I postponed this moment every time, looking for the perfect timing to start reading it. Months had passed, and still I couldnt find the right timing, so I kept waiting. I wanted to let the fantasy in my mind the best conditions so that reality could meet what was in my imagination. But eventually my timing wasnt so right – work, some writing projects, and a deadline for submitting my thesis were just a few of the things that occupied my... It's not that this is a bad book. It's not. It's written well, and if you like Nicholas Sparks, this book is for you. It's got that kind of a feel, you know? I am not a Sparks fan so while the writing propelled me through, I found it to be more predictable than enjoyable. Slight spoilers ahead. I found Hope, the main character, a little too much. Particularly when I reached a Rose chapter, I would skim over the pages. Ultimately, this type of story would have benefitted from a dual-version narrative where Rose's and Hope's story overlapped as the end drew closer.
